CRITICAL CARE

Do you know where to turn in the event of a pet emergency?

As a loving pet owner, you never want to see your furry family member in any kind of distress. Unfortunately, unexpected illnesses and sudden accidents happen. At Cross Creek Animal Hospital, we want you to know that you’ve got a dedicated team of skilled professionals in your corner.

Our hospital is equipped to provide life-saving critical care at a moment’s notice. With staff members who are experienced in emergency medicine, we can quickly diagnose the problem and deliver timely and effective care. Most importantly, we’ll handle your loved one’s case with the utmost compassion, doing everything possible to achieve a positive outcome.

Some of the signs that your pet may require urgent medical attention include:

  • Difficulty breathing
  • Ingestion of a toxic substance or foreign object
  • Broken bones
  • Cuts, lacerations or puncture wounds
  • Vomiting or diarrhea lasting longer than 24 hours
  • Bleeding
  • Trauma, such as from a fall or being hit by a car
  • Swollen or tender abdomen
  • Difficulty urinating
  • Lameness
  • Disorientation
  • Foaming at the mouth
  • Convulsions/seizures
  • Loss of consciousness

If any of these signs are present, seek help right away. At Cross Creek Animal Hospital, we always recommend calling ahead when an emergency occurs. This allows us to evaluate the situation, offer first aid instruction over the phone and prepare for your pet’s arrival. Of course, should the nature of your pet’s emergency be too urgent for a phone call, don’t hesitate to come directly in for immediate attention.

We genuinely hope you never experience the need for emergency veterinary care. If you do, however, we want you to know who to call. The team at Cross Creek Animal Hospital will be here to provide the highest level of care available.
